Stopping the abuse and not using an excuse.

Abuse is a learned behavior that can be unlearned. However for some, we must stop using excuses and take accountability for our actions. I always say that an excuse is none other than a guarded lie that benefits only the person that is giving it. Have an attitude of gratitude and rise above your circumstances. Seek help to stop the abuse, because it shouldn't hurt to be loved.
